A Day in the Life of SIIL: From Silver in Montreux to Victory in Lausanne

Morning: HCK Tournament in Montreux
In the morning, the team took part in the Tournoi du HCK at the Patinoire du Verney in Montreux. Four teams participated in the tournament: first came the group stage, followed by the final match for first place.
In the decisive match, SIIL was leading 3–0, and it seemed as though the gold was almost within reach. But their opponent wasn’t about to give up: 3–1, 3–2, 3–3, 3–4. The final buzzer sounded.
Silver. It's not the result the team came here for, but it's certainly no reason to give up. The day is far from over.
Evening: Vaudoise Arena in Lausanne
That evening, the team arrived at the Vaudoise Arena in Lausanne—the home arena of the Lausanne HC, one of the strongest teams in the Swiss National League. With 10,000 seats, a professional-grade ice surface, and stands that have hosted top-level hockey, it’s all just a ten-minute walk from the SIIL campus.
Their opponents were the Crazy Ducks. The final score was 6–3 in favor of SIIL. After the disappointment of the morning's final, this was exactly the response the team needed.
Two events in one day: the final in Montreux and the evening game at the Vaudoise Arena. Different rinks, different emotions—one unforgettable day.
