The Swiss International Institute Lausanne (SIIL) has signed an agreement with the world-renowned educational platform edX.
As part of this agreement, more than 150 courses from top universities and companies in 11 countries around the world were translated into Russian specifically for SIIL students.
Only our students will have access to courses from universities and companies such as Harvard and IBM, taught in Russian.
Terms and Conditions for Accessing Elective Courses from edX
New Students. Starting in February 2025, all degree programs will include 10–14 elective courses from the edX platform. If you are admitted and begin your studies between December 2024 and January 2025, you will be granted access to these courses in February.
Current Students. Starting in February 2025, approximately 10 edX elective courses will be integrated into each academic program. Current students at our institute will be able to access these courses for a separate fee.
Terms and Conditions for Purchasing Access to Elective Courses from edX
New students will have the opportunity to take more than 150 additional courses developed by global leaders in education and industry.
Graduates will have the opportunity to continue their studies on the edX platform and take selected elective courses as SIIL alumni:
- 10 courses in the major you have completed;
- All 150+ courses.
Terms and Conditions for Purchasing Access to Additional Semesters
At SIIL, students must earn 180 credit points to receive a bachelor’s degree. To earn a master’s degree, they must earn 90 credit points. If necessary, students can pay for additional semesters to reach the required 240 credit points (bachelor’s program) or 120 credit points (master’s program). This way, you’re covered in case your home country requires a higher number of credit points.
