In 2024, the SIIL MBA program was included in the QS World Online MBA Rankings, published annually by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds. This is one of the three most authoritative rankings of higher education institutions in the world.
In the Online MBA category of the SIIL global rankings, it made the Top 100 and ranked 31st among universities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Being included in the QS rankings is not just another way to strengthen a university’s reputation and raise its profile. For SIIL, it is first and foremost a source of objective information that allows the university to see how the global higher education and continuing education sectors are evolving, in what areas the institution can improve its educational offerings, and what else it can do to benefit its students.
Methodology for Compiling the Online MBA Rankings
The QS Online MBA Rankings highlight the best online MBA programs worldwide, taking into account factors such as career prospects, faculty and teaching quality, student profiles, and students’ prior professional experience.
The set of metrics considered in compiling the Online MBA ranking and their respective weights:
- Faculty and Teaching — 35%. This indicator reflects the quality of instruction in the curriculum and helps determine whether each student receives sufficient individual attention from faculty to ensure steady progress through the program.
- Class Profile — 30%. This indicator provides an overview of the diversity among students admitted to the program: it takes into account the percentage of women and students of various nationalities in the class, the average length of work experience among students, and the program’s competitiveness.
- Employment rate — 30%. Most students decide to finish their studies and start looking for a job as soon as they complete their bachelor’s programs, so the university’s reputation among employers is crucial.
- Academic Support — 5%. This indicator shows the level of support a university provides to online students: for example, whether the university offers technical support, provides access to the learning platform, and publishes all course materials.
