An increasing number of Kazakhstani students wish to pursue higher education at universities abroad. To that end, they choose countries such as China, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Switzerland.
But despite its popularity, studying abroad has significant drawbacks: high tuition costs and high living expenses. So what should prospective students do if they can’t afford these expenses? Enroll in a university that offers online courses.
In today’s world, it’s easy to study the necessary course material, master the required skills, and earn a profession. At the same time, online learning has its own advantages—flexibility and affordability. There’s no need to worry about quality either: due to the high level of competition in the online education market, educational institutions strive to attract prospective students by providing high-quality services and hiring qualified instructors.
Another barrier between prospective students and a foreign education is the language of instruction. There are two options: take a year-long language course or enroll in an educational institution that offers instruction in the students’ native language.
What Forbes Says About SIIL
Forbes discusses this in an article titled “Instructions for Use: Affordable Education Abroad for Kazakhstani Students”:
“The only university of its kind that offers instruction in the students’ native language is the Swiss International Institute Lausanne (SIIL). For Kazakhstan, instruction is currently in Russian, but since there has been a dramatic increase in demand for education from Kazakhstan over the past year, the founders promise to add Kazakh as a language of instruction in the near future.”
Here, you can pursue bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, as well as take professional development courses in high-demand fields, such as project management or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in business management. All that is required for admission is a diploma from your previous educational institution. In other words, there is no need to take entrance exams or submit Unified National Test (UNT) scores. This makes Swiss education accessible to everyone, anywhere in the world.”
